Valpo Soccer Alumni Weekend...

Well first I can say that I had a great time the entire weekend. It was great to see old friends and nice to meet the new alumni that have joined the 'old group'. Overall we had about 17 alumni that were involved at some point during the weekend. Not too bad considering it was sort of a last minute planned event! I would say that everyone can plan for it to happen again next year!

Here are a few of the pictures I took from the weekend...I will post the rest online (probably on google) once I get them all downloaded to my computer. I'll keep you updated on when that happens.

Here is everyone that came to play or watch on Saturday...

This is Saturday night...eating and mingling with the other alumni and players...

I have pictures from Sunday at the game, but they are not downloaded...sorry!

Lyndsay & Ryan's Shower...

Last weekend, Sept 28th, was JR's cousin Lyndsay's baby shower. She is due November 8th...coming soon! She is having a girl, Kennedy Rae Simpson. We are excited that Brooklyn will have little girls on both sides of the family to grow up with! The shower was very nice. Lyndsay and Ryan received many nice gifts!!!
Here are a couple of pictures I took at the shower...
Lyndsay & Ryan opening gifts and Kylee helping...
Gavin & Chanler...
The best gift of all...the man's toolbelt...it was hilarious. It had goggles, rubber gloves, diapers, wipes, and a bunch of other stuff in it.

Belly Shots and more...

I have a shot from the end of August which would have been around 21 or 22 weeks...

These shots are from today which is the beginning of week 27...only 13 more weeks...

My hair looks out of control...oh well!

Brooklyn is kicking constantly! Sometimes much harder than others...and heartburn is a regular occurance at this point! Tums are tasty. I am still feeling really good. Starting to get a little more tired just in the past week. I don't get up too often to go to the bathroom at night, thankfully! I am still training and coaching soccer through the end of October and then I'll be done until Brooklyn is here. I am exhausted at the end of the days I have soccer (Mon-Thur), but I'll manage for a couple more weeks! Just a little taste of how it'll be when she's here!

It's a little nerve wracking to think how quickly time is passing and our wonderful blessing will be here! Lots to do! The baby room is getting painted on Friday and then we can start putting everything together! We installed new closet doors last night...slowly but surely everything is coming together! We have two showers coming up in November...one in Illinois and one in Indiana. We are both very excited for January to come, but know we have our work cut out for us working in the house before she gets here!

The Buddy Walk...

We spent a fun filled day with family. We had the Buddy Walk for JR's Godson Gavin this afternoon at the Lake County Fairgrounds. Though the weather called for rain all day...it held out and was perfect. Good Times for a Good Cause!

Here are some pictures...
JR tossing Gavin in the air...he loved it!
Gavin posing with the dog, Molly. Too Cute!
JR & Dad hanging out, eating...
Me and Peg...I look tired. Needless to say I went home and took a nap!
