A Family Night to Remember...

Last night the entire family came over to our house to go to the Lake County Fair! Grandma and Grandpa Paulsen, Uncle Jeff and Kyle (in town from Colorado), Angie, Kevin & Abigail, and Mom and Dad! What a great time and a night to remember!
This is the four generations...Great-Gma Pat, Grandma Grupe, Angie, and Abigail...
Here is Great-Gpa with little 6 week old Abigail...she is so darn cute!

Grandma and Grandpa Grupe...who are still on cloud nine!

Uncle Jeff and Kyle...I think Jeff was taking a picture of the four generations above when i took this picture of him :)

Mom telling her older brother what to do or not to do???

Kyle holding little Abigail...

Angie getting a break from the baby to play a little guitar hero! Fun Fun...

Me loving every minute with Abigail! I wish I could steal her, but I suppose if I wait 5 more months I will have my own. :)

Me and my fabulous husband after a hilarious night...read below for the story of the entire night!

So, the entire family came over for a night at the fair...well things did go so much as planned, but we did make it to the fair. Grandma and Grandpa did get to see Abigail and we all had a great time or at least I can speak for myself, but I am sure the rest would agree...
Jeff, Kyle, Dad, and Mom all walked to the Fair (~5 blocks from our house) and JR, Angie, Kevin, Abigail and I all drove incase it started storming. Grandma and Grandpa headed home when we all left for the fair (they were at the house for about 2 hours). First we get to the fair and mom tells us to call her so we can find them. Her phone didn't pick up (either roaming or no service) and Dad didn't bring his with him...who knows why? But we start walking around and find them getting sweet corn, yum! We all ended up getting some, but the 4 walkers all ate right when they got there. So we were hunting food down for the rest of us...no sooner do we get to where all the food is and all the venders are shutting down because there are tornado warnings out! So we all split up to find get what we want to eat and head home (this is within 10 minutes of being there)...Mom, Ang take Abigail back to the car. JR gives them the keys to drive back since we are starving...while I am getting my food JR realizes he gave them the wrong keys in his pocket. He leaves me to get my food to run after them to get them the right keys so they don't get rained on...he caught up to them about 50 feet from the car, they are panicked so he stays with them and drive them home. At this point, Dad, Kyle and Jeff start walking home and the rain has begun. I am by myself with my food and seek shelter as soon as the rain starts. Luckily I found myself in the Art & Crafts shelter so it was at least interesting to me. BUT I had no service and when I did get some service I was roaming so I couldn't find out where everyone else was...I assumed they all took cover like I did. WRONG! After sitting in the shelter for about 30 minutes I finally hear from Mom and JR...EVERYONE is at home except for me! HAHAHAA! I told them I would call when they were letting us leave the shelter I was in and JR could come pick me up. I waited another 25 minutes or so and decided I was going to have to get wet or I would sit there forever! I called JR told him I was on the way and to pick me up in a parking lot across the street from the fair grounds. As I am walking he drives right passed me thinking that I was part of a bunch of high school girls running...little did I know that 5 girls from the shelter I was sitting in followed me out and where behind me the entire time...So he had to turn around and get me. When I got home I was wet, but not soaked...I see Kevin in JR's robe, Uncle Jeff & Kyle in JR's clothes, and the best of all...Dad in a towel! It was hilarious! They apparently were SOAKED because they walked in the crazy windy tornado storm. BOYS! Anyway, we all hung out until their clothes were dry. We were playing guitar hero and having fun with little Abigail. What a night to remember...Family Fun and being Stranded at the Fair! Good times!

Fire game with Fabulous Friends...

We have made it to our second Chicago Fire game for the season with Deanna and Paige. We had a great time again! We went to my favorite restaurant for ribs, The Patio! And then to the game. We were early so Paige could do all the fun kids club stuff they have set up. She played soccer with a bunch of mexican boys and schooled them! It was great!

Then we had second row seats for the game against Chivas. The Fire won and we celebrated with ice cream afterwards! Thanks for taking us again!

16 week appointment...

JR and I went to the doctors office today for appointment #3...

We were able to listen to the heart beat again! FUN FUN! The heart rate was 150 which the nurse said that was average. We'll go back August 20th to find out boy or girl. Hopefully the time keeps flying because I am really anxious to know!

Everything has been great thus far. I am starting to have more energy and have had zero sickness. Thank the Lord for that!

Time is flying...15 weeks...

Saturday I had a baby shower to attend and I figured what better time to take tummy pictures since I was thinking about the baby all day. A bunch of the girls have been telling me to post some picture anyway...

Here are pictures at 15 weeks...

I am almost to the point where I can't pull the rubberband trick on the pants...and it's not comfortable anyway! So I have done a little shopping for some capri's to hold me over until the winter months when I will really need the maternity clothes. A lady that I work with gave me a bunch of shirts and tanktops so I will not need to buy those! What a blessing!

McKenna/Mast Wedding on the 5th...

We had a wedding to attend at Meyer's Castle in Schererville on the 5th of July. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time! The bride is a friend of ours from church. She met her husband on the World Race which was an 11 month missions trip she took around the world last year.

This is our friend Michelle. She lived with me for 6 months at the house in Crown Point when JR was still living with his parents before we got married! She is awesome!

Erin and her dad walking down the aisle! She looked amazing!

The bride, groom and wedding party during the wedding. Pastor was giving an example of them being two and becoming one...it was a good wedding message!

This was the first white peocock I have ever seen...it was on the ground of the castle along with many other peococks and swans.

And last but not least, a picture of JR and I at the wedding in front of the castle...it was impossible to get the entire castle because we were so close and there are trees everywhere!

Fabulous 4th...

What a long, fun filled day!!! JR and I were all over the place for the 4th. Early in the morning or should I say early for a holiday (9am) :) we headed to Chicago to watch JR's brother, Collin, play in an All-Star baseball game. His team lost, but he played well. It was super hot outside and I roasted in the sun!

After the game we headed to the southside of the city to Doug & Anne's house to hang out with all the family. We had a wonderful time and ate some great food!

Mom and Dad with Anne's dog, Henry...he is BIG...

Here is Doug's dog, Frankie, growling at Shelley because he is protecting Doug from her...he is LITTLE :)

After Doug and Anne's house we went back to Hobart to JR's mom and dad's to watch the fireworks on the boat. JR's mom and dad, grandma, brother Collin and us all went on the boat...we had a great time!

JR's mom, Peg and Brother, Collin...riding to the fireworks...

JR's dad, Kent and Grandma Janet...Captain Kent guiding the way!

JR and I watching the fireworks... :) I was super exhausted from all the sun I got in the morning!

JR's pretty picture of some fireworks!

My Husband Rocks...

When your tired, you have a headache, your feet hurt, and you feel fat and ugly all because you are pregnant and your husband is willing to do anything to make you feel better...HE ROCKS! Always reassuring my beauty, his love for me, and showing that he will cook, clean, fix the house, while I sit and feel bad and useless. He is the BEST EVER! I LOVE YOU BABE! Thank you for being awesome!
