Being a Mom...

Being a mom is amazing! I love it! Brooklyn and I have had a wonderful two weeks at home while dad is at work. Obviously we would love for him to be home with us, but that is just not possible. We have had alot of visitors and have tried to get things done around the house. BUT when the little one needs to be changed before she eats, then eats, and then decides to poop again after she eats...you'd be surprise how much of the day that takes up. When she is awake we talk about all different things, we play with the lay down entertainer thingy (don't know what to call it), we swing and do other things around the house. She is only fussy when she needs to eat or needs her diaper changed and boy does she let us know when they she need something done! For the most part she is a happy baby. She tests her dad with diaper changing when he is home...she loves to poop and pee while he is changing her diapers. I find it humorous, but JR might beg to differ. She is a smart cookie...she tries to hold her pacifier in her mouth (it is pretty funny)...she also knows when we have her in our lap and try to do something on the computer that we are not paying attention to her. She becomes fussy so we will pay attention to her! She is growing fast and does something that amazes us everyday! We are having a blast with her and can't wait to see what she'll do tomorrow. I had to get the 3 month clothes washed today because she is growing out of some of the newborn stuff already! Her two week appointment was yesterday and she has gained more weight and become taller. I have posted her growth info on the left side of the blog. Until next time...enjoy the pictures that JR posted below. We are planning on posting Brooklyn pictures about once a month or every two weeks because there are so many!

She is precious and you seem to love being a mom. It is the best job in the world and only gets more fun (and complicated) but mainly - incredibly rewarding. Love and miss you guys, Lola
